05 / Responsible use

Business data, with clear rules for responsible outreach.

Business contact lists may be sold for lawful business purposes, but the calls, texts, and emails made from them remain regulated. Buyers are solely responsible for checking each contact and following all federal, state, and local requirements before outreach.

Federal requirements

CAN-SPAM applies to commercial email, including business-to-business email. The TCPA’s consent rules for automated or prerecorded calls and marketing texts to wireless numbers do not have a general B2B exemption.

  • Use accurate sender information and non-deceptive subject lines.
  • Include a valid postal address and a working opt-out, and honor email opt-outs within 10 business days.
  • Scrub applicable numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry at least every 31 days, keep an internal suppression list, and obtain required consent before automated calls or texts to wireless numbers.

North Carolina

North Carolina’s telephone-solicitation provisions define covered subscribers as residential telephone subscribers, so genuine calls to business lines fall outside that state provision. Federal rules still apply.

  • Buyers calling North Carolina consumers may have telephonic-seller registration and bonding duties.
  • Confirm current requirements before any residential campaign.

South Carolina

South Carolina law covers solicitation calls, texts, and media messages to residences and to wireless phones with South Carolina area codes—including business mobile numbers.

  • Honor a recipient’s do-not-contact request for at least five years.
  • Apply federal wireless-call and text-consent rules in addition to state requirements.

Tennessee

Tennessee’s Do Not Call and Do Not Text register covers residential subscribers; business numbers may not be registered under the cited guidance. Covered calls are limited to 8 a.m.–9 p.m. local time, and federal rules still apply.

  • Telephone solicitors contacting Tennessee residential subscribers must review TPUC registration rules.
  • TIPA excludes people acting in a commercial or employment context and excludes publicly available information; obtain counsel if a future product expands beyond business data.

Good questions, clear answers.

What is the first lead pack?

The first release covers plumbing, HVAC, and roofing businesses across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

What will I receive?

A downloadable spreadsheet organized for filtering and sorting. Fields may include business name, category, address, city, state, phone number, and website.

Is a subscription required?

No. Launch pricing is one-time: $49 for Pack #1, $29 for a single-trade pack, $99 for a full state bundle, and custom lists from $200 by quote. A subscription may be considered later, but it is not part of the current offer.

Will every listing have a phone number and website?

Not always. Contact details are included when available, and some business listings may have missing or outdated fields.

Can I request another region or category?

Yes. Tell us the location and business category you need, and we can review it for a future pack or custom request.

How should the information be used?

Use each list as a starting point for lawful business research. Buyers are responsible for verifying details, screening applicable numbers, honoring opt-outs, obtaining required consent, and following outreach, privacy, email, and telemarketing rules.

How is the source data licensed?

Where applicable, Client Region products contain place information from Overture Maps Foundation, used under the CDLA Permissive 2.0. The applicable license text, source release, and required third-party notices will accompany each download. This attribution does not imply endorsement.
